Online Tutoring

What do I need to get started?
Since these tutoring sessions will be delivered online, you will need the following:
– Good internet / data connection – preferably broadband (4G / Cable / DSL)
– Touch-screen Computer. If you have a Laptop / Tablet / Smart Phone (iPhone, Android) with a 4G data connection, you can also do your tutoring sessions “on-the-go” i.e. in your home, car or at any convenient place. If you are doing your session outside, try to ensure that you minimize outside noise.
– Headset with audio (for two-way communication)
– Stylus Pen for use with the touch-screen device. Technically you can also use your finger, however for accurately writing formulas, etc a stylus pen is more convenient
– To participate the tutoring session, you will need to download and install the Zoom client (https://zoom.us/download) on your Laptop / Tablet / Smart Phone (iPhone, Android). Once you have downloaded Zoom, take a moment to register (it’s free) using the same email that you use for your registration with Pinnacle.
How long is each tutoring session?
Each tutoring session lasts for 60 minutes (one hour) and will begin exactly as it has been scheduled. Prior to your session, the Pinnacle Tutor will send an email to you (check your email inbox as well as your spam folder just in case) with a link to start your Zoom session. When you click on the link, the Zoom application will automatically launch, and your session will start.

Make sure you have everything you need ready – then sit back and enjoy the learning opportunity. Remember to stay engaged, ask as many questions as you like and where needed ask your tutor to explain something that is still unclear again. Our aim is to ensure that you get the maximum benefit from your online learning experience.

Can I choose which topic I want to learn at a session?
Yes, you certainly can. If you have a specific topic or issue that you want to focus your learning on, make sure you mention it when you are making the schedule. The online schedule provides a “Notes” field where you can specify what you would like to learn during the session. If you are booking your session manually through our Admin desk, please remember to inform them about the topic you want to cover during your session.
Can I discuss my homework with the tutor?
Yes, you certainly can do that. How you want to manage your session in Math is entirely your choice. If you wish to get Help with your Math Homework, make sure to mention that when you book your schedule. Additionally, we provide you the option to email your homework questions that you wish to review, directly to the tutor prior to the session. This way you tutor can also be prepared for the questions you wish to review.
What other options do you have for Online Math Tutoring?
You can choose to schedule a “Regular Tutoring” session for your respective grade / curriculum and decide on the topic in advance or during the session. Also, as outlined in the question above, we provide you the option to plan your session as a “Help with Math Homework” activity and focus only on the specific questions you want to review during that session. Finally, we also provide you with the option to do a “Exam Preparation” session where the focus will be on “Topic Revision” (typically something that you may need before your exams). You can outline your topic concerns and agree with the tutor how many sessions would be needed to cover your topic priorities.

Our aim is to ensure that we can support you as best possible with any of your learning needs. Our tutors are trained to check that you have correctly understood the key concepts at each stage and are clear on the topic fundamentals.

Will I get a handout or worksheet from my Tutor?
Yes, the Tutor may decide to give you a handout or worksheet either during or after the session. Our aim is to ensure that even during your personal time you can get enough practice with what you have learned and the aim of providing a handout / worksheet is to ensure that you benefit from the same.
What subjects does Pinnacle Online teach?
Currently we provide Online Tutorials only in Math. All of our Math tutoring follows either the IB or CIE curriculum standard.

Payment

What payment do you accept?
We accept payments made through the PayPal payment gateway – so you can either pay with your PayPal account or any major credit card. Note that you can use a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card to pay with PayPal. You can also use a debit card that displays the Visa or MasterCard logo.
Do I get a receipt after making the payment?
Yes, you will receive an electronic receipt for the PayPal transaction which is sent to the email address you had provided. Additionally, you can also download your Pinnacle Online Invoice cum Receipt at any time directly from your “Account” page.

Registration

How do I enroll for Pinnacle Online Tutoring?
It’s quite simple to enroll with us. Just follow these steps to get enrolled and get started with the best Math online learning portal for IB/CIE curriculum from the convenience of your home or anywhere.

1. To get enrolled and pay your fees, you need to start at the Pinnacle Online Tutoring website here https://pinnacle.school/enroll/
2. Select your current Grade and chose from the Option of either a 4 session or 8 session package. Note that all sessions in the package are valid for 30 days only.
3. Provide your individual details including email, username and password in the available fields – all details are mandatory
4. Fill in your Credit Card billing details in the fields provided. It’s ok if the card for payment is not in your name (ex. say is in the name of your parents)
5. Select the Enrol button, wait a moment while you are transferred to the PayPal payment gateway.
6. Once you are at the PayPal portal you have two options: (a) if you have a PayPal account your can log-in with your particulars and proceed with payment or you can alternatively (b) you can check-out as a Guest and make your payment as a Guest.
7. Before you select the “Pay Now” button, check that the amount in USD is the correct amount. Then select the Pay Now button.
8. Once you have successfully paid the fees, you will see the receipt. It will be emailed to your email address; however you can also print a copy for your records. At the bottom of the receipt a button to “Return to Merchant”.
9. You will be directed back to the Pinnacle Online website at the Student Login Portal https://pinnacle.school/student-login/ where you need to fill in your Username or Email address and your password and log-in.
10. You are now enrolled as a student with your selected session package and will be able to see your details under “My Account” and also download a copy of your Pinnacle Invoice cum Receipt.

Why can't I login to my account?
The main reason that you can’t login is because you may have entered an incorrect unsername / password – so it’s important that you remember your particulars. If you have made an error in entry, the system will automatically inform you and direct you to the password recovery portal where you need to input your email and our system will send a link to your email that will allow you to generate a new password to login with. If you still can’t login and continue to face problems, please contact us at (admin@pinnacle.school) or you can call the admin number for your country as listed on our website.
Can I renew my package before it expires?
Yes, you can renew your package provided the renewal is done within 5 days prior to the expiry of your current package. Just go to your Account page and select the “Renew” option and follow the instructions.
Can I renew my package after it expire?
Yes, you can. Our system is designed to remember your particulars, so you will first need to login and go to your Account page. Once there, you will need to select the “Renew” option and follow the instructions.
Can I buy two or more different packages using the same account?
No – you only can buy one package at a time using the same account. You can choose a different option by buying a different package after you have completed your current package or after 30 days. We would like to point out that all of our packages will automatically expire 30 days after the original purchase date, so it is important that you use up your sessions prior to expiry.

Session Scheduling

How do I schedule my sessions?
You can schedule your sessions, one session at a time on the “Session Schedule” link within the Student Portal. Note that you need to log-in with your valid details to be able to schedule sessions. Once you have scheduled your session/s, you will be able to see the sessions you have scheduled under the “My Schedule” link within the Student Portal.

Can I book my sessions in advance, based on the package I have selected?
Yes. you can book either one or multiple sessions depending on the package you have selected and as long as the sessions are booked within the validity period for the package. You will not be able to book a session that has expired or that is outside the validity period of your package. All sessions are booked on a first come first serve basis, so you can only book a session as long as it is available. When scheduling, you can select your preferred / available time window and day of the week and our system will show you which sessions are available during that period. You can only select an available session. You can always check back later in the event that a session booked by someone else has been cancelled and is now available.

Can I book more than one session in a day?
Yes, you can book more than one session in a day, provided the session is available and you have still have valid sessions in your package. However please note that for operational reasons, each session must be booked at least 3 hours in advance of the session start time.

Can I change or cancel my session booking?
Yes, you can cancel or change the session you have scheduled any number of times, as long as you make the cancellation of the scheduled session at least 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled session. If you do not cancel the session at least 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled session, your session will be counted as a completed tutoring session and you will not be able to use the same.

I have used up all the sessions in my Package, but I need more sessions?
If the package you had originally booked, is expiring within 5 days, simply go to your “My Account” page in the Student Portal and select the “Renew” link, which will allow you to book additional sessions. If your package is not due to expire within 5 days, please send an email to our admin for further instructions.
